The Coffee – Brazil Ipanema Yellow Bourbon
The Ipanema Yellow bourbon is produced exclusively with the bourbon variety, the variety responsible for changing the world’s perception of Brazilian coffee. The bourbon coffee variety was originally produced in on the African Island of Réunion, formerly known as the Island of Bourbon due to its colonization by the French dynasty of the House of Bourbon.
Bourbon coffee cherries arrived in Brazil around the 1750s and exists in Red and Yellow varieties. Ipanema Yellow Bourbon is exclusively produced with Bourbon coffee beans, balancing acidity and body with floral and citric notes. This Brazil coffee features a sweet taste with fragrant notes of fresh walnuts and almonds. Using the honey method during the sun-drying process provides a thick caramel body with a very fine acidity and a taste of Irish Cream.
